Nordlys IPL delivers controlled pulses of broad-spectrum light into the skin using Selective Waveband Technology (SWT). The light is absorbed by specific targets beneath the skin’s surface — melanin in pigmented cells, or haemoglobin in blood vessels — depending on the wavelength and filter selected for your treatment. This absorbed light energy converts to heat, which affects the targeted pigment or vessel while the surrounding skin is protected by integrated cooling. Because the treatment doesn’t break the skin’s surface, downtime is minimal. Results build gradually as the body’s natural processes clear the treated pigment or vessels over the following weeks, which is why a course of sessions is typically recommended rather than a single treatment.
