LED light therapy is a non-invasive treatment used for skin rejuvenation and for the treatment of acne. LED is a painless, light based skin treatment that delivers light via thousands of tiny light emitting diodes. The infrared wavelengths increase cellular activity, helping to bring nutrients to the treated area. This leads to an increase in blood flow, promoting the production of collagen and elastin fibres.

How does it work?
LED treatments can be done on their own or within a facial treatment, including post peel, medical needling or as a ‘boost’ to any skin rejuvenation treatment.
During the LED treatment, you will be required to wear goggles. The increase in blood flow will have a warm feeling, similar to the feeling of sun exposure (without the nasty UVA/UVB light).
Initially and for all new clients, we offer an in-depth skin consultation. This is a crucial part of your first treatment, enabling us to accurately diagnose your skin and prescribe the best options available to you.

How many treatments will I need?
Depending on the condition being treated, best results may require a course of treatments, 1-3 weekly over a 4 or 8 week period.
What about for resistant acne?
You may require more sessions. LED treatments using the WHITE or RED panel will speed up the healing process after any surgical procedure.
What happens during the treatment?
During treatment, you will be required to wear goggles. The increase in blood flow will have a warm feeling, similar to the feeling of sun exposure (without the nasty UVA/UVB light).

Is there any downtime after treatment?
There isn’t any downtime from the standalone LED treatment. However, if LED Light therapy is an adjunctive treatment, there may be associated downtime to your other procedure.
How long does the treatment take?
Relatively short, depending on your individual treatment plan. Typical treatments are fast and effective, lasting between 10 and 20 minutes.
