Lactic Peels by Aspect Dr are superficial peels that loosen thickened surface layers of the skin that present as dry, rough and flaking skin. Lactic Acid is a gentle AHA that effectively exfoliates to help retexturise the skin improving the appearance of the signs of ageing, including fine lines, wrinkle and dark pigmented areas, while providing hydrating properties to maintain moisture levels of the skin. Hydrating

The shedding of dead skin cells by lactic acid has the benefit for the rest of your skin care routine. Your home care ingredients are better absorbed into the skin without dead skin cells blocking their path

Decongesting

Exfoliate the surface of the skin while deep cleaning pores by removing dead skin cells, toxins and debris on the skin

Brightening

Lactic acid gently breaks down the glue that holds dead skin cells together and dissolves superficial surface buildup, leaving behind healthy glowing skin and an improvement in fine lines and wrinkles

How does it work?

Your skin will be thoroughly cleansed before applying the Lactic Peel. The peel will be applied to your skin and will remain on for 5-10 minutes, depending on your skin, allowing the active ingredients to be absorbed into the skin. The peel is then neutralised and a balm is applied.

You may experience a slight tingle that quickly subsides but no pain.

Best results will be seen after 3 – 6 treatments at 2- 4 week intervals, depending on skin condition and concern.

Pre Treatment: you will be prescribed a vitamin A to use 2 – 4 weeks prior to treatment by one of our clinicians to prepare your skin for peeling to avoid any adverse reactions. The use of SPF and sun compliance will be required. Post Treatment: we will guide you on the use of homecare after your treatment to promote the healing phase of your skin.

You may be a little pink for a few hours after treatment, with glowing healthy skin 24 – 48 hours after.

While not common, you may experience slight flaking dependant on the strength of the peel.
